How to prepare homemade hair mask/hair pack

Homemade hair mask/pack: Egg
Here is a hair mask using egg. This can be used for dry hair as well as normal hair. As it is not containing any oil it can be used in oily hair also.

you need
yolk of an egg
1/2 cup milk

Mix these well. Apply a little oil on hair(for dry hair) and apply thishomemade hair mask on entire hair. Massage the head for 10 min. Leave it like that for 10 min. and rinse it well in normal water. Then use shampoo.

Homemade hair masks: Oatmeal
This hair pack can be used in all type of hair. For extreme oily hair use any thin oil instead of almond oil. Use in small quantity. As this hair mask contains oats that will nourishe the scalp skin.

you need
oats 1/2 cup or more.
almond oil 1 or 2 tbsp.
fresh milk 1/4 cup or more.

Mix all the ingredients well. Comb your hair and take out all the knots if you have. Make sure hair is not wet. Apply the homemade hair mask/pack and leave it for 15 – 20 min. Then rinse in water and shampoo well.

Homemade hair mask: Multani mitti
This hair mask is for oily hair. The mitti(earth) can control the excess oil on hair.

you need
multani mitti (fuller’s earth) 1/2 cup
apple cider vinegar 3 tbsp.

Mix the above ingredients using water if nedded and apply on wet hair. Leave it for about ten to fifteen min. It is suitable for oily hair.

Homemade hair pack: Parsley

This hair mask is suitable for all type of hair. Prepare a juice of parsley. Mix 1/2 cup parsley, 3 tbsp. olive oil. Apply this on scalp and hair. Massage the scalp for 15 min. After 20 min. rinse it off.

Step1: Wash your hair using a good moisturizing shampoo. Use a conditioner which will restore moisture to the hair shaft. If you prefer, use a leave-in conditioner that will protect your hair even more.

Step2: Towel dry your hair, and liberally spray a good straightening spray all through your hair. Using the cool setting on your hair dryer, dry your hair. Carefully comb your hair with a wide-tooth comb as you are drying. Plug in and switch on your flat iron while you are drying your hair so it is ready to use when your hair is completely dry.

Step3: Spray a good quality flat iron spray all over your hair, then section your hair with clips. Beginning with the lowest layer of your hair–closest to the nape of your neck–carefully flat iron sections of your hair and allow to cool. Apply your flat iron to each section of your hair, releasing sections from your clips as you go.

Step4: If you have longer bangs, you can flat iron those if that will complete the styled look of your hair. Spray flat iron spray onto one hand, rub it all over both hands, and then smooth it onto your freshly flat ironed hair. Smooth the strands down as you rub the spray on.

Step5: Using a narrow-tooth comb, carefully smooth and comb your hair. Don’t miss any areas or sections of your hair and comb the underside as well. If necessary, spray more flat iron spray on your comb and run the comb down your hair from the root to the ends.

The process of hair rebonding is actually a chemical process, which is somehow similar to the process of hair straightening. The procedure goes about like this. All the hair types are attributed with a particular bond, which is natural. It can be curly, wavy or straight. In hair rebonding, the hair of curly or wavy nature is passed through some chemical exposure. Relaxants or softeners are applied on the hair to break the bond and then again by the application of a neutralizer the physical bond is restructured. Thus a wavy or a curly hair gets a straight look. The hair rebonding is to some extent a permanent process, until the hair grows longer.

The time required for a complete rebonding session depends upon the length of the hair. Hair till the shoulder takes about 4 hours and till mid back it might take 8 hours or more. The process involves washing the hair with a mild shampoo, conditioner is not used. After this the hair has to be blow dried fully. Then the entire hair is partitioned in shafts and the relaxants are applied in each shaft. The hair shafts decked with the cream softener or relaxant are kept straight by means of a thin plastic board. The relaxant is left for about ½ hour depending on the hair type. Over exposure to the softener can be harmful to the scalp and the hair. After this the hair is steamed for 10 to 40 minutes according to the type of the hair and then rinsed off. The next step is to blow dry the hair and apply the keratin lotion. Then the hair is ironed with a flat iron. A ceramic iron is better than the metal ones. It is done to remove the curls still remaining. The expert stylist will keep on ironing until the hair look straight and gleaming. After this a neutralizer is applied to rebind the hair and stabilize it. It is kept for about 30 minutes. The neutralizer is washed off with cold water and then the hair is again blow dried. A hair serum is applied to give body to the hair. Lastly the hair is again ironed to attribute it with the final touch up.

Dry hair :

If you have a dry hair do not dry your hair with hair dryer after the head bath. Dry by sun or by fan air.Use soft combs.Use conditioner once in two weeks.Take a high protein diet.
If your problem is dry hair, first massage coconut or olive into your scalp. Then soak a towel in hot water, squeeze it and apply around your hair for 15 minutes. This hot-towel therapy, popular in the west also, helps the hair absorb oil and moisture. Then massage scalp once again and shampoo.

Stiff hair :

Use conditioner once in a week this will make hair little softer.
When drying hair give priority to ends.
Massage with warm coconut oil once in week an hour before head bath.
Combat static: Massage a teaspoon of mayo on clean damp hair and leave for 5 minutes and rinse out.

Silky, baby fine hair :

Take egg white from 3 eggs and Mix with enough water to make it pourable. Pour over hair and shampoo after 15 minutes.

Frizzy Hair :

Dissolve 1tsp.of Calgon Water Softener, it’s available in the laundry section, in 8oz. of warm water and use it as a final rinse after you’ve shampooed and conditioned your hair. It will soften, detangle and help control those frizzies.

1/2 Mashed avocado, 1 tbsp mayonnaise mix together and apply to washed hair, leave on 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly.This is good for Flyaway hair

Try this herbal shampoo for healthy hair: 100 gms of Rita seeds, 100 gms of Alma Powder, 100 gms of dried shikakai powder, 20 gms of Aloe vera juice, 3 glasses of hot water. Soak rita seed in warm water, squeeze out the juice and amla powder and shikakai powder, add aloe vera juice and use as regular shampoo.

Greasy hair : 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/3 cup of your regular shampoo. Mix together and shampoo as usual.

Limp hair : After taking fresh head bath massage beer concentrating on the scalp only. Do not rinse out this will give more volume to your hair.

Soft Hair : Boil water with some tea leaves and shower with that water this will give a softer hair.

• 1/3 cup vodka, 1/3 cup of your favorite shampoo. Mix together and shampoo as usual. And your hair will shine ever!
• Boil 3/4 cup of beer until it become ¼ cup Cool and add to your shampoo and shampoo as usual. Beer is an excellent remedy for dull hair.
• Grind coconut and squeeze milk from ground coconut and apply to hair and comb for 5 minutes and shampoo after 45min. or 1 hr. This reduces hair dropping and helps hair to grow thick.
• To get thick hair Grind Hibiscus petals and mix with egg white and apply to hair and shampoo after 30 minutes.For thick hair: Powder date seeds and mix with egg white and apply to hair and shampoo after 30 minutes.
• For thick, black hair grind coconut and squeeze milk and boil that milk. After some time the water will evaporates and you will get the oil. Massage that oil to your scalp and shampoo after 1 hr.
